iPhone 6 Plus Touch IC Repair
iPhone 6 Plus Touch IC Repair - Intermittent touch response fix
This repair fixes the intermittent touch or lack of touch response altogether on the iPhone 6 Plus. This is an issue affecting many iPhone 6+ models. In worse cases grey lines may flicker across the top of the screen. Unfortunately, this isn't due to the screen, but it is due to the connection of a chip on the logic board of the phone; even if you replace the screen on an iPhone 6 Plus with touch IC problems, the issue will persist. On the bright side, we can fix this iPhone 6 Plus touch disease problem.
How exactly did the iPhone 6 Plus touch disease come to be?
Apple has always strived to make their phones thinner and lighter. They definitely made the iPhone 6 and 6+ one of the thinnest phones they've made to date. However, due to the thinness, the metal frame can bend. The frame also then bends the logic board which contains the two touch IC chips. The connection to the logic board begins to break as some of the ball grid array (BGA) also break from the chip. Due to the improper connection, the touch can intermittently go out. You may have noticed that if you bend the phone slightly that the touch may work for a little bit. That's because the connection is being forced when you do that. However this makes the BGA more fragile and is not recommended. The BGA for the Touch IC can also degrade from multiple drops or corrosion from water damage.

Not sure what repair you need?
Come in today and check if you have a screen issue instead of the Touch IC repair issue. Sometimes a bad digitizer can cause bad touch. Usually a bad digitizer will have faulty touch in specific areas of the glass i.e. a line or bottom right corner.
